Hey Good Morning.
We often hear how countries were made by other countries pushing different groups together. Next a name was plastered on, without their participation or consent. The onsuing issues that developed from such unions would take many years to resolve.
One has to wonder, as these newly formed unions go through various struggles to find themselves, or not, as the case maybe, who benefits? Well, while those in the union are distracted and struggling to find resolution, those who created the situation barter to their advantage and the world moves on and profits from the confusion. Sounds cynical? 🤷🏾♂️. What does history say?
Please take a look at the picture below.

This demonstrates a fear people have about tech companies using their power in AI. Funny things is, this is just a tech company using its power, no AI involved, to rewrite world map norms.
What next ? Perhaps rewrite history from their perspective or that of the piper playing the tune. Where is integrity going?
I thought the reason @Tiktok was being banned was it was deemed to be under the control of a foreign government. (source : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restrictions_on_TikTok_in_the_United_States). Check Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (PAFACA)
If that is so, I have to ask the rest of the world governments who might be using Google maps, what does this look 👀 like? Maybe I am reading this wrong!😑 Can anyone help me?
Countries of the world, need to start thinking about investing more in developing their own talent. Upskill the old people, develop tech skills in the young. Put heterogeneous teams together to rapidly develop solutions. if the global ones are now aligned to a specific country.
Barriers and virtual borders are rising. The company who had a tagline “Don‘t be evil”, explaining -“Don‘t be evil. We believe strongly that in the long term, we will be better served — as shareholders and in all other ways — by a company that does good things for the world.” (Source : https://expertbeacon.com/the-rise-and-fall-of-googles-dont-be-evil-motto/, Expert Beacon ) has moved on.
Perhaps we should take the hint!
